I am working for a supposedly "good company" as employee and thus far, no complaints from anyone... boss, QA, etc. I am not getting work, its trickling in and when inquiring, all I get is "we are slow." What would you do? I am used to being an IC, but took employee status as there is just nothing out there and different company experiences in looking for an IC position in the past year have been very troubling, to say the least. I am being polite here in describing this scenario. I am looking for advice here, what would anyone do to find out if they are wanting to "see me go away" or whatever, or maybe I'm just paranoid. (I have been reading posts here and find I am not the only one, but am sick and tired of this, as this company is hiring more people for different accounts!!!)

Any advice from anyone would be great and I thank you for taking the time!

Are they hiring others instead of letting you do those accounts because they are going to need you on your current accounts when they get busy again or because there are some specialties you don't do? Have you asked to be put on some of the new accounts or what you can do to prepare yourself so you can be moved to other accounts? Have you made someone angry? Just kidding (sort of) about that one.

Thanks so much for your reply! It is greatly appreciated. Back in November, I did get put on another account and do have 2 accounts, my primary and then now the secondary. I don't think I mad anyone mad, but you never know! I am not sure why this is happening, I am taking this very personally.

The current hiring was for NEW accounts, I seen the ad on MTStars and MTJobs. Still, I don't know. I am looking for an additional job to supplement this, I just don't want to throw in the towel yet. Any more advice, let me know.

I really do not have any advice except to just keep looking at other companies for work. Your scenario sounds like mine - identical. I am collecting partial unemployment and was hoping they would see that as my plea for help and put me on more accounts, but that did not work either. You can file for unemployment even if you are still employed. You can make almost $400 a week. You ought to look into it. In my case, I am limited to speciality due to lack of experience and only have outpatient experience. It might help you to know that you are not the only one in this miserable situation and it can be quite exasperating at times as well as frustrating, espcially when the company is hiring new employees and not willing to TRAIN me in another speciality or account.

I am an MT with 15+ years experience. Had to leave the field to be a caregiver for several years and now, 5 years later, want to return to working. From what I am reading, I am out of luck. I've searched high and low trying to find out about refresher courses or what I would need to do to get back into the field. Well, she just called me and told me that she just got a call from them this morning offering her a job anyway, which she respectfully declined. For almost a year now, I've had problems with DocQScribe off and on, fortunately only about 10% of the time I'm on it. But when these problems hit, they are so severe I can't work.
