Okay, get this! About 9 months ago, I was sending out resumes, etc looking for a different position (I used to work for Spheris but bailed when things started going bad, thank god!). Anyway, since then I have received about 3 emails from the Q regarding employment, in which I did not respond as I have found a position I am happy with. The other day they actually CALLED and asked if I was still interested in a position with them. It took all I had not to actually laugh in her face!! There is not enough money in the world to work for them and I couldn't believe that they were taking the time to call and ask. Is this desperate or what?!?!? Anyone else out there received a call? Just curious....Have a great day!!

Similar story here. They really know how to jerk people around. First they want you and then they don't. Makes you wonder what is really going on with all the negative posts around here. Actually had an interview with one of their recruiters. We set a specific time for the call. When she called, I was home, answered the phone and was ready for the interview. The first thing she said to me was "Is this a good time for you or should I call back later?" Right then and there, I knew something was not right and it was the weirdest interview I ever had. I felt like being rude and hanging up but I played along. I don't know where they got that recruiter but she certainly had no clue as to what she was doing.

I got a call from their recruiter last week also. She was an OK young woman. I told her that I appreciated her calling, but there was NO WAY I would ever work for a company which treats MTs like they are slaves (which they all do, but Transcend and Medquist and Spheris were the worst and brought the whole industry down). I told her we are people not slaves and need money and time off. She actually HUNG UP on ME. I think they are DESPERATE. That is what happens when you destroy a workforce--eventually no one will work for you. I HOPE that they NEVER get enough MTs to make it to however many years it will take to have the whole industry done by VR. I hope they and Transcend, another company which treats its workforce terribly and like slaves, work themselves into an absolute corner. Pay us BY HOUR so you actually have an incentive to provide us work, give us regular shifts with some flexibilty, days off including 3-day weekends, paid holidays (not an extra 0.5 cents a line), 2 weeks of vacation and there you go, an immediate increase of people who want to work for you. And, give us transcription, not ESL garbage.

when recruiter calls, could someone ask why they are hiring when present - MTs are waiting daily for work.

I am an MT with 15+ years experience. Had to leave the field to be a caregiver for several years and now, 5 years later, want to return to working. From what I am reading, I am out of luck. I've searched high and low trying to find out about refresher courses or what I would need to do to get back into the field. Do you suppose it was because I went over my CCM's head and complained to her supervisor about not hearing from her regarding the loss of a 10 minute report when DQS went down? Well, she just called me and told me that she just got a call from them this morning offering her a job anyway, which she respectfully declined. I guess no one wants to work for them anymore if they're now resorting to offering positions to people who didn't even pass their test! ...

For almost a year now, I've had problems with DocQScribe off and on, fortunately only about 10% of the time I'm on it. But when these problems hit, they are so severe I can't work. DocQScibe "sticks", won't back up, and the audio keeps playing even when I take my foot off the pedal.
