We need to overhaul our medical system - disgusting

Healthcare for profit has got to go. How many of us have typed reports indicating a patient was refused treatment/medication/procedures/etc., due to their insurance not covering it? This is BS of the highest kind. I hate being a cog in this wheel anymore.

Some days, I feel such despair, I don't want to go on. Other days are better, but I wake up dreading the day every day. I asked my GP for an antidepressant, and he refused to prescribe it, saying it's out of his specialty. I called all around my area looking for a psychiatrist who will see me, and most refuse because of my insurance; others just don't bother calling back. I despise this system. There's no help unless you've got a lot of money, and then they'll milk it for all its worth.

I'm sorry you're feeling so badly. Sometimes an antidepressant can help you cope until your circumstances change. I don't understand why your GP can't prescribe an antidepressant. Many can and do. Maybe you need a different GP? I hope you get the help you need.

Sleep, diet and exercise are so key to depression. Get a mini trampoline and use it for 10 minutes a day 3 x a day. That will boost so many things in your body: It will clean your lymph system, move your blood, tone your muscles. The side benefit is the exercise endorphins. It will help your spine as well because sitting all day is bad. It's considered the perfect exercise, but it not getting the press it should. NASA even endorses it, if that has any credence with you.

Eat really well and try to go to bed early and at the same time. If you hate your job, change it. Really. You only have this one life. It should be enjoyed as best you can. Don't get caught up in inertia. Stay proactive and keep pushing for a better quality of life. I joined a grocery delivery service that only sells organic produce. It has already made a difference in my skin after a month. Not that much more money, and I know I am getting the best quality of food. I get what is in bulk and on sale.

Try that before you look to antidepressants. I guess I shouldn't be acting like a doctor, but we should not be looking for a pill for everything that is wrong in our lives. I don't mean to insult you by saying that.

I wish you well. If you are an MT, you are smart, so you should be taking care of yourself, loving yourself. This is a tough job, and we have to combat all that is coming at us.

I think you're right. I do believe the natural way is the best way. I'm stuck in an inertia zone but have to force myself to get moving. My diet is good, though I tend to eat four times the amount I should eat. Thanks to you too!

Sometimes, what's wrong with you is a chemical imbalance and no amount of sleep, diet, and exercise will help.

B-U-T ... if you get enough sleep and lead a healthy lifestyle, if depression hits at least you'll look good in the process. :}

I don't have a PCP and have been ordering my medications from this overseas company for several years. Works great, no side effects (that I'm aware of). --- I think their prices are very reasonable.

Just today I signed onto GoodRX. They provide discounts for some local pharmacies but they also have a link to HealthWarehouse, a mail order pharmacy. If I can get my headache meds thru HealthWarehouse, I will save $100. I will try your pharmacy too and see how that works.

beyond repair. We let it go on far too long, the abuses. The lawsuit will help, but it is not enough, and it will take too long. I shouldn't be complaining about making minimum wage or less than minimum wage or be bullied into changing my timesheet. Somehow I have gotten this virus on my laptop and when searching for ways to remove it on the internet (on my desktop), all the sites are either extremely comlicated or want you to download things in order to remove it. My account was switched over 5 weeks ago and truthfully I don't see improvement. One day I think maybe it is getting better and the next day it's worse. It's simply unfair that MQ pays me the same same whether I do a normally dictated report, or one that is handicapped. Handicapped reports obviously take much more time to finish.
