No actually - It will not

The intelligently thinking people will prevail. ; )

Intelligent thinking always prevails, but it takes time. Job risk is - not intelligent thinking. nm

no risk, no gain.
If you got "out of it," (your words), then what are you risking? - This is getting old. nm

everyone can ask for a 'srike' board for her to dominate and get the main board back on track.

Because I believe your comments only make you feel better about your own sad situation. Misery loves company. If someone does not agree with you, then of course what they are saying could not be true. Why would I lie. You do not know me, so what do I have to gain.

BTW, I am intelligent enough to know a good situation when I see it, and a bad one that is not going to get any better unless I DO SOMETHING besides get on here and whine all day.
then stop trying to make us believe in you and your strike. - you are not my hero - I am.

SO YOU MISS ANY POINT WE TRY TO MAKE. THIS IS NOT A DEBATE THIS IS A MOCKERY, AND BY YOUR OWN WORDS - YOU JUST MAKE IT THAT.

FROM ALL YOU SAY - based on all you said and all you are - solely you with the biggest mouth & SFBs - YOU and you alone have convinced me........

NOT STRIKING. NOT STRIKING.

It's interesting the polarizing effect talk of unions - or strikes has on MTs. -sm

From what I've gathered so far by reading this thread, and others like it:

* MTs are either rolling in dough and living the high ol' life on that $20/hour they claim to be making, or else they're in foreclosure and on food stamps.

* Interestingly, the sad stories about what a failure this field is are each very unique. There are a million different bad, sad or desperate situations MTs have found themselves in because of the scam nature of this business. However, the "happy" ones seem to all (all 2 of them, perhaps?) fit into the same mold. Doing great. Making $40K-50K a year. Taking those vacations. Etc. Usually there is a high-earning husband/significant other in the picture as well.

Let's face it. No matter what we do in life, there will ALWAYS be people who take chances, who dream of something better, not just for THEMSELVES, but for everyone. And then there will be those who only look out for themselves, who will never stick THEIR necks out, and will continue to go with the status-quo. UNTIL, that is, due to someone else's hard work and risk-taking, there is an opportunity to have more. Then, and ONLY then, the people who have nothing good to say about the whole idea of change will suddenly jump on the bandwagon. Not because it helps anyone else, mind you, but ONLY because it helps THEM personally.
Precisely we need to think for ourselves and not be pstered to death and called - all sorts of things if not going along with strike

Personally I think WMJ has proven herself a one-tack closed-minded concrete thinker with ideals of grandure, and an idiot in MT clothing, so I choose - at my 25,000 a year - to not buy her crap.

and this is what brought me to the above conclusion - she pushed too hard without any intellingent responses to points nay-sayers brought up. Unless you call 'brainwahsed by the MTSOs' and unhappy brown noses' intelligent responses. She could not stay on topic and/or could not answer - what else? It/she then went from, ok, lets discuss this to all credibility out the window.

and now we are polar thinkers....sorry, wong again. but who am I to say? I'm not strking so I'm just a good for chit, right?

You, too doll, you too.
LOL - your remarks just proved my point. - Talk about 1-track minds!

well then we agree to disagree. makes NEITHER of us baffoons. - RIGHT? NM
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm not joining you. I'm not arguing with you. I am thinking for myself and may MY choice for what is right for me. Has nothing to do with you personally, and nothing to do with the industry or MTSOs.

I BEG YOU, FOIRGIVE ME FOR NOT BEING YOU. for I am NOT.

You are - and that's fine, you are fine. You just cannot ram something down my throat. Not gonna happen. no matter how bad you can dig away at me, you only look wrose.

It sure will - BOTH ways...

"...At a New England mental hospital, just the thought of a sick-in got results. A shop steward, talking to a supervisor about a fired union member, casually mentioned that there was a lot of flu going around, and wouldn't it be too bad if there weren't enough healthy people to staff the wards.

At the same time - completely by coincidence, of course - dozens of people were calling the personnel office to see how much sick time they had left. The supervisor got the message, and the union member was rehired..."

If people are not willing - to risk upsetting the boss

they won't win. Think intelligently and act now!

is that a fact? How do come to these conclusions? - did you take a poll? or

[ In Reply To ..]
or is that just another profound statement from thin air in thy head.

it's obvious you have nothing more to say in depate of the SUBJECT, and now more than have this tread is wasted on same.

this is a dead subject when it gets down to nohting left to say except cheap shots...based on your opinion of either one individual or an individual as a groups.

and, AGAIN, since you still refuse to accept it - SOME OF US ARE NOT INTO STRIKING AS AN ANSW ER AND WILL NOT TAKE PART.

Whatever that does to me or for me you know NOTHING about.

Well, when it comes to "knowing nothing", - - CC

I do believe you wrote the book.

MTSOs got rich exploiting those of us who are - afraid to stand up for ourselves. nm

Making myself sick sitting here worrying.  Message to contact TSM to discuss latest audit.  Got a 98.2.  Already received corrective action a little over a month ago.  My first written.  Wondering what is in store for me?  Like everyone else, I can't afford to lose my job.  I keep looking but nothing else is coming my way.  Please pray for me.  Hope I am just borrowing trouble. I put in dates of service that were not dictated, so I made the mist ...

Facing My Fear
Jan 10, 2013

I know I have to leave this job at some point and go out into the real world, a real office, a real job.  Can anybody give me some advice on how to overcome my fears?  Journalling?  I can't afford counseling right now.  I have had to face these kinds of life changes in the past, but that was many years ago when I was younger.  I am not so young anymore and the thought of working outside the house is terrifying me.  I have checklists and have done extensive rese ...

Living In Fear
Dec 04, 2013

Just got e-mail stating I did NOT pass my audit.  i got 99.4%.  i have been with this company for over 15 years.  Lately, I stress out every day over this job.  I am sitting here waiting for a phone call from my TSM to discuss this.  I am quite worried.  Living paycheck to paycheck now.  Cannot afford to take another pay cut or lose my job.  If they do put you on 100% do you ever get taken off? I have slowed down and really tried to be more careful/cautio ...

May 20, 2015

I have been doing this for over 8 years and was on the STAR team, like that means anything, at my last job for over 6 years and never had a problem and then they got bought and laid off everyone. I have had my present job which pays only about 2/3 of what that one did for 4 months now and it has been nothing but abuse for the last month. They told me I was a star 6 weeks ago and now apparently I am dog dirt. Ah, how fleeting stardom is in this industry. They told me I did not do well on a QA ...

Living In Fear Of Critical Error.
Jan 24, 2010

I've got this terror of critical errors.  I shudder every time I check my feedback, if I've left a marker (sometimes I've noticed they'll check the entire report, not just the marker.  Guess it depends on the MME).  What happens if you get a critical error?  Are you back on QA for awhile?  Do you get nasty e-mails?  Do you get canned?  40 lashes? ...

It May Be People Like Turning Worm Who Caused MQ To React And Lay Off For Fear Sm

of a possible class action lawsuit. If you started taking things to the Labor Board you can bet MQ will be forced to let go of people. I'm not saying MM is not to blame because I DO believe they are sending 80% of the work to India for cheap labor and to avoid excessive taxes. They have a right to do that. MM provided work to American workers to provide some with jobs, not to make a profit. It's expensive to employ American MTs thanks to the US Govt, but that's for another day.&nb ...

The "Blog" Mentality Is Something Our Country And Industry Should Fear
Jul 18, 2012

There is a discussion below about blogs. I've felt for a long time that the whole idea of blogging has some danger flags. First, bloggers talk to us. They represent one philosophy or present facts from one person's viewpoint. Readers can often reply, but any dissenting viewpoints are quickly shut down. Independent thinking is discouraged in a number of ways. We are told what to think, what movies or TV shows to watch, what jobs we should take, what books we should read. It's usual ...
