I really need someone to answer this. I have been accused of adding spaces to my documents, but my argument is that cutting and pasting the doctor's templates in a document used over and over (changing any parts he wants changed) is adding spaces. I did not do this on purpose. Has anyone ever had this type of issue before? Or am I alone?

I know that in the stripped-Word platform that I use, if I c/p a previous report into a current report, it will retain hidden coding that could act as spaces. I was advised to c/p into my Shorthand program, then use Shorthand to insert text to maintain the integrity of the report. I learned this when a report had been copied and pasted so many times by numerous transcriptionists that by the time I did it, the program locked up and I had to call IT support to strip out the hidden codes and give me a fresh document again. This originally happened when someone worked in Word and then copied the text into the stripped-Word platform that did not support those hidden codes.

You could also use plain old Notepad to strip formatting - sm

That's what I always used to do with DocQscribe back in the day, since we were warned that we couldn't copy & paste from old reports, outside samples, etc. due to hidden formatting. So I'd first copy & paste into Notepad, then copy & paste into DQS from there.

cause "sneaking in spaces" is the oldest game in the book to make money..And if you use their reports, you get their spaces..Have a friend that abused the heck out of the game, was making a ton of money, right up till she got caught and fired, and docked her last check..Something I would never have thought of to do, nor would I do it myself personally..I erase extra spaces all the time.

This just happened to me and happens every so often. Wish I knew how to fix it. Possibly too many documents open? Good luck! Post if you find out how to resolve. I copy and paste all day...

It's very frustrating. This happened once before and we cleaned up all the templates and then about six months later, it happened again. I have a letterhead file that I cut and paste the templates into and, like I said, I change whatever the doctor wants changed. Then I delete that document and do the next one. I can only assume that all the cutting and pasting is adding spaces.

Occasionally, I cut and paste an address of a physician into a letter document, and it pastes with a different font than my letter. I have to highlight that portion and change whatever I pasted in my document to the correct font. Is there a way to make that faster? Slows me down. TIA - Janet ...

I used to be able to copy and paste with no problem, but for the last couple of nights I have not been able to paste. I have no problem when I close the program and just use Word, just won't work in Edisscript. Which leads me to believe they did something to stop us from copy and pasting. The first report I tried this with, I was able to copy into a Word document. The second tiime I tried to cut and paste, the first report kept showing up. The third time I tried it, the first report copied over the report I had just transcribed and I lost the transcribed report and had to do it all over again. What am I doing wrong. I have noticed suddenly today I am unable to cut and paste (e.g. doctor names, street, addresses, Rx) from DocQscribe to Google. Everytime I try this function it says "DocQscribe Internal Clipboard Text". What the heck! By right clicking, it is saving me from having to "retype" everything that I am confirming. The account is actually quite good and I could produce much more if I could take advantage of some form of production software. Printscreen usually works to copy a screen image, and you can paste that from the clipboard to any program, like Paint. When you cannot use the "Print Scrn" key to copy, just open up your task manager "control+alt+delete," and when that pops up THEN you can "print scrn and paste with the report in the background.
