current info on imedx? - anon

Does anyone have any current info on imedx? Needing to leave one of the "bigger" companies - just can't take it anymore. Thanks for any replys...

I have a very close friend who just lost her job with Alpha, after they were bought out by imedx. Transcriptionists on these VA jobs immediately had their wages reduced, due to a change in the way they calculated lines, and many of they lost 50% to 80% of their pay or lost their jobs completely. In order to keep these VA contracts, Alpha appears to be providing a front for imeds. According to an on-line post, Alpha is now claiming they are a stand alone company, but their "team lead" have the imedx signuature lines. In short, seems like a dirty company, in my opinion.

iMEDx is an India company. Alpha was The VA side....work was so slow they let MTs go last week... Most work will go to India on the imedx side....not good.

Who is doing the VA work now? - nm

Is there enough work during 3rd shift? Is the platform easy to use and easy to get your lines in with? How is the health insurance? I saw the premiums for the different levels but didn't see what type of coverage this is (deductible, copays, etc.).
