Transcend/web medx/TTS - Best company

I need some honest opinions...out of these companies which would be the best to go with right now? I've heard some not so great things about Webmedx but they supposedly offer an incentive program and the others don't. I just really need to get out of the place I'm at bad because we're running out of work fast and it's getting harder and harder to make it. Please respond, thanks!!

Would be my choice, been there going on 4 years part-time and am happy, good region, plenty of work, good ROM and TL, good QA... I don't know anything about the others... I would say give Transcend a try

Every company is running out of work, what different does it make? they all say they have abundant work and then screw you later. TTS is really not well managed, and not good. The others I don't know.

sold to Nuance; tomorrow they are announcing a new pay plan, which is rumored to be lower than previous Wmx line rates. I would not go with them b/c they are not really Webmedx any more - they are Nuance.

I came into Transcend skeptical. They seem overall very well managed. I agree with all CardioMT said. I've been there about 2 yr. I have several accounts, and plenty of work on my main one most all the time.

I just accepted a position with Transcend so I was excited to see recent posts by current Transcend employees. I'm wondering...do you have a set schedule and a 12-hour window? I was given a set schedule but they also mentioned a 12-hour window during my interview. Also, do you do a lot of ESL? Any info you want to share from a transcriptionist's POV would be appreciated. I am excited and nervous about the change!

so far so good with Transcend, trainer is very nice/very patient. BUT, did run out of work, although only have 1 account to start with. Wondering any other Transcenders, how much are you making per line for editing???? curious Oh account I amn is probably 99.5% editing

I am part-time and have assigned days and times to be working. I have never heard about a 12-hour window, though could be possible on other accounts. I have had more than one account in the past and never ran out of work, but now on a huge 5 hospital account and there is tons ALL THE TIME. Holidays do get a little slow sometimes but sometimes not. I think line pay for editing MAY vary from account to account (not sure)... same for ESL's... some have loads and some not so many... some good ESL's and some not so good... just a hit or miss on that one... hope this helps... Welcome to Transcend, hope your region is a good one...

Did VR develop Alzheimer's? It has lost everything. I am tired of no commas, periods, and everything else it reverted back to since its infancy. It is really true that now you can transcribe faster than you can edit. Does anyone even care? Do you know how many times you have to stop in the middle of labs to put in punctuation? I am curious as to if the TLs are meeting their requirements. They are expected to type 75-80% of their time and get paid by the line as well . I am very suspicious that they are not typing VR all day, having their work sent to India, etc, and are getting the straight typing. They get paid a flat fee per month for their administrative duties on top of that. I wonder if they are experiencing no work and looking at a blank screen most of their time& ...

I have read dozens of posts on the board about Transcend, some good and a lot not so good. However, I think there is an explanation for some MTs loving it there and others hating it so much. Transcend is a company made up of many other companies through mergers. The original Transcend who existed first, before acquiring other companies seems to be the problem. I was with the company for over five years, not once failing to meet the requirements of me yet I was told my position would have to change to 2nd or 3rd shift if I wanted to keep my job as there were no positions available for 1st shift. Did anyone else get the memo from Transcend (soon to take over from DTS) about the line rate change for the transitioning employees from DTS? It was elegantly written, but basically it said that when the accounts are switched over the VR that the line rates will decrease but productivity will increase and no cut in pay is expected. It has been mentioned that Wmx has lost 2 large accounts that is the reason for people being let go. Transcend has mentioned in the last few months about acquiring a new large account in September. Was at least one of these 2 large accounts, if not both, acquired by Transcend??? ...

I have a phone interview with Transcend out of Atlanta and TTS out of New Hampshire today and next week.
