Thinking of going back to Keystrokes but they constantly ran out of work! sm - Need a Real Job

I took a job with another company thinking the grass was greener because the accounts were major and the work was there but the platform sucks and QA is picky as hell. I am a good MT and been doing this years, years in QA with taking MT jobs now because the QA jobs are not there. This is my sole income and I can't survive. I like the platform and steady checks at Keystrokes but the work just wasn't coming in, they wouldn't give me a secondary, and they continually hire. I don't know what to do! I would do anything to find a decent company. I don't have a car or I would easily take a hospital secretarial job. So frustrated!

Believe me, I would have gone with another company had I really known this place was like this. I read all the comments on this board before I accepted a position, only to find out that all of those comments were correct. Had I been vigilant, I would have found something else. It's funny that they expect anyone to live off of this income. I wonder what those in management would do to find they couldn't pay their rent off of $50 or less a day. I love everything about this company, but doesn't do any good for that when they have no work. Okay, I don't love the fact they obviously over hire and could care less whether an individual is making a living. They will give a secondary account, but you will have to comply with different hours. It's really ridiculous.

do/done no good. They are all the same. I have been with too many to mention and they all run out of work constantly or if they do not run out constantly, it is fairly constantly. They all overhire and none of them care.

They wouldn't even give me a secondary acct. sm - OP

I begged for a secondary and they never gave me one, said they'd put me on the list. Crazy.

So strange to see dislikes on job seekers board for TTS. I think MTStars should charge for advertising so it doesn't get junked up by companies with huge turnover constantly advertising and leave space for independent companies with legit jobs and not revolving MT door jobs. ...

past 6 years. This week am told mandatory to change a week day to weekend hours and still running out of work with email stating "can make up time on a specific weekend day" (saturday). Constantly getting emails to work extra, but no more. I know it's extra money but is also increasing the likelihood that I could drop below 99.6%, especially when volunteering to do even more unfamiliar accounts. Hello, I would like to transcribe from home again. However, I HAVE to get up and walk for a few minutes at least once an hour. You see, I had to have 2 back surgeries in the last 18 months. and QA dings me for one. Unbelievable. That's what it averages for 1400 lines a day full-time. Even with 3 cups of coffee and an office chair seat belt, it's no easy feat. Ninety-thousand keystrokes PER DAY. That's not including the ADT, the Internet look-ups, etc. Throw me a bone here, QA. How many keystrokes to you do, PERFECTLY?? ...
