TTS has a high turnover and if so, why? - no name
Posted: May 28, 2010
So does anyone know if TTS has a high turnover and if so, why?
Are you serious. Have you been watching the boards lately or just trying to stir the pot. - Do a search. We do not need to re-hash this.

They have a high turnover. They are dreadful and there are numerous people with the same story. Hired as IC but forced to work employee status with daily monitoring when your hands and feet are moving AND you will get called if you take a break to see where you are. End of story. They stink!!!
Sigh....here we go again.... - Happy TTS Chick

Firstly, "numerous" people on this board are probably the same people posting "numerous" times under different IDs. It's unfortunate that thsi board allows you to do so.
Secondly, they DO NOT call you when you take a break. There is probably a reason they had to call you. I have NEVER been called for any reason other than to go over my audits.
Thirdly, how is an employer supposed to plan to get work done if a ton of ICs just jump on and work when they feel like it? If you can't give a schedule to them them IF they even ask you to, then go work somewhere else.
This TTS subject has been beaten to death. If you're thinking of accepting a job with them, please do so and form your own opinion instead of listening to this board. Not every employer is suited for everyone.
The bottom line is that the "are you serious" poster is totally - Happy Ex-TTSer

correct in her post. Dreadful, totally micromanaged at every level.
As far as hiring IC, if they don't want to treat them like an IC, then hire as an employee. Oh, they don't want to do that because then they have to pay the taxes like SSI on them. So, hire as IC and treat like employee. Anyone working for TTS as an IC is crazy! You WILL have to adhere to a strict schedule AND pay your OWN taxes. Good situation for TTS though!
The only thing we agree on is that this has been beaten to death. - Tired of hearing the TTS name

Just a little FYI to the Happy TTS person, there is a reason why the board has allowed the posts. They are NOT all the same person. I watched a whole thread unfold by other posters who all had the same experience as I did so I finally confirmed my experience. You work there for whatever reason so do not even try to tell us that you have not seen the revolving door. There is definitely not just one "disgrunted" employee. We have merit. Micromanagement to the MAX. I am done replying though because I, too, just want to make them go away.
Still very happy at TTS - Made up my own mind

Do your research here on the board. There was an employee who was fired (she admits it) and several posts (not sure if one person or many on either side of this) who supported her.
The posts were very polarized, not too much in between.
I was one of the posters who has had a great experience at TTS and am very happy there.
Just remember when you read these posts that no matter how opinionated and forceful the post it is still just how that person sees it and there are plenty of MTs on the other side who saw TTS in a positive light.
Make up your own mind.
Cut your losses and move on already... you need serious help - A former IC, now employee at TTS

When I worked as an IC for someone else I still had some accountability and a schedule to get the work done. If you want to work when you can or feel like it, start your own business if you have the wherewithal to do so.
One advantage of being an employee vs IC is that you have more priority over the work. Another thing you have are benefits. An an IC you do not, but you still have to produce within a certain timeframe.
Give it a rest already and get a life!

Everything They Do Is Geared For CONSTANT Turnover Jun 25, 2014People in, people out. Like a giant sucking funnel pulling us down and out as fast as the Board of Directors acquires hundreds coming in with each new hospital or clinic account "acquisition."
The pressure on you and me to quit is purposeful. It is what they PREFER. That way they don't have to keep firing people. Their luck with firing can run out and they know it. (Just the right lawyer, just the right set of documents proving their wrongdoing, just the right claim) could get ' ...
Inscribe Workforce Turnover Rate Nov 30, 2011Is the turnover that bad at Inscribe that their ad has been on the job forum for 2 months, or do they have new accounts coming on soon? They sent me a request to apply about a month ago, but I've been hesitant with the feedback I've seen when I searched the archives on this site and now with seeing their ad this long. I really don't want to switch companies but may be forced to because I can't pay the bills with little work coming in and only 3 cents a line f ...

"Turnover Rates Continue To Rise. Wages Plummet." Jun 06, 2013Following an in-depth investigative report of how corporate profits soar at the mercy of the increasingly invisible labor force in this business, we could publish a cartoon depicting a wide-mouth funnel at the top with all the newly "acquired" MTs falling in, with the bottom of the funnel (the other opening) pouring out the newly unemployed. Churning around inside the murky vortex are the chronically underpaid sweatshop slave-wage fools.
Wonder if the creepy people responsible for this me ...

High VR Producers Who Do 400-700 LPH, Can You Say Jan 24, 2010I know some of you have taken a bashing, but I'm a believer and admire your skill. I am curious about your definition of a line and how long you've had the same account(s). I think most posters assume lines are defined at 65 characters including spaces, but that's not always the case (especially for those who work directly for hospitals or clinics, which many times are 60-character lines or less and include headers, footers, demos, etc.)
Can you give us an ide ...

To High Producers On M*Modal Nov 04, 2010I wondered if any of you who are good at M*Modal can give me some good pointers on getting faster with this program. I have been working on it for about 6 months and don't feel I am gaining any speed on it at all. The whole thing for me is having to reattach the cursor to the highlighter that is giving me the most trouble. It is just awkward and such a stretch to hit that F12 key to reattach each time I have to make a correction. I would be forever grateful!! :)

Regarding What Constitutes High Production -sm Jan 19, 2011Thanks all for your thoughts on the "salary/wage expectations" thread below. I am still hoping to see more opinions on the subject, but there were some references to production and even "high producers," hence my query concerning what you all think constitues a "high producer" versus average. I am inclined to consider 200 lines per hour as a good producer but not high. What are your thoughts - understanding, of course, that all accounts differ in difficulty. However, wean ...

He has had no evidence for cryoglobulinemia or hypocomplementemia. It will be interesting to see what his protein has done with improvement in his HIV parameters. For Those With High Line Counts- Jan 29, 2015I pulled up some old posts on here for line count averages, etc. I am seeing the high producers really utilize their word expander programs (work smarter, not harder).
