Probity - another ad? - looking

Does anyone have any recent experience with this company? Do they have consistent work? Thanks for sharing.

Fairly consistent work. You will be offered additional accounts. Their work is mostly rehab accounts. You are an employee. That does not in any way guarantee you work during your shift.

They do not pay for headers, footers, or anything that is included in a template that you might need to insert, demographics, signature lines. You get paid only for typed characters on the page that you actually typed.

IMO, the platform is slow and cumbersome. There are limited hot keys and a lot of manual functions to complete the reports. The data bases are limited so you need to do a lot of research for outside of facility physician names.

Most of the staff was friendly. QA staff was helpful and mostly consistent. Tech support was available 24/7.

IMO, not a company where I could earn an income that paid basic bills.

My apologies to MissTrans. I see where you posted elsewhere that you have been applying for jobs and tested for multiple companies. I just found it unusual for a post to start with "we". Plus this original post had many looks, then quickly had a response after days later I posted some information to the question asked.

It doesn't start until 8/20/13. They said I need to supply my own foot pedal (IN-USB-2) and will assign me to long-term, acute care, and rehab accounts part-time @ a pretty good lph rate. I believe this is "employee" status.

It will take that long to get through the piles and piles of paperwork to start with this company. If you thought the hiring process was tedious, you're not done yet. Good luck!

I just had a job offer for Probity. I am considering it, but before I accepted I emailed them with a question about if there is steady work and still have had no response. I am on unemployment benefits, so if I take their job and then there is not steady work and if I have to quit, I cannot get my benefits back. So, it's a delicate decision. I got a job offer at Probity. The pay has an incentive built in for anything over 5000 lines per pay period. Does anyone know what the pay period is? It doesn't say and am waiting for resonse from recruiting. Also, it is for a 6 hour shift. Is that normal. I was hoping for 8. Is eligibility for benefits based on line count or hours worked? I got hired at Probity. I managed to last 13 days. I've got 30 years of experience as an MT and thought it would be a breeze. The account specs weren't the problem - but the dictators were horrible. One after another ESLs that I could hardly understand, lots of googling to find Dr and hospital names, and somehow when they count lines, it seemed really low (maybe they weren't counting headers and footers). Thanks in advance for any information. Can someone tell me if their platform is consumer friendly or not? Is it slow? I understand it's compatible with word, but can you use most short cut programs with it, such as smart type, instant text, short hand?
