Can anyone give me any info on Probity. Integra platform, specifically acute care/rehab account, able to make decent pay. Just trying to find a decent company. Any info greatly appreciated.
The Integra platform is not the best, nor the worst I ever worked on. It functions with Word, so you can use an expander program that works with Word. It has minimal hot keys, so I found that I needed to take my hands off the keyboard and use the mouse a lot. There are manual functions to complete a report, as the program is not fully automated. Such as, you need to add a hard page break, check hidden codes, add second page headings, etc.
The accounts are multi-site and the data bases only include on-site attendings. Hence you will need to do a lot of research for outside physicians, referring physicians, other medical facilities, nursing homes, lab facilities, etc., all in various cities.
You will not be paid for demographics, headers/footers, signature lines, or any headings that you pull in with a template, etc. You will be paid for only what you specifically type on a document page. You transcribe in order of template and dictators do not dictate in that order. Hence you jump around the template a lot.
The QA and technical staff were available 24/7 and always friendly and knowledgeable.
I personally thought the sound quality of the dictation I received was not the best. I found that the pool I was in included a lot of what I considered "less than desirable" dictators and I am not referring to ESLs.
The hiring process and start up process, in my personal opinion, were laborious. You will know when you are hired the pay rate, which IMO is not anything to brag about. I assumed that the rehab work would be simple compared to acute care (and I transcribe both rehab and acute care on a regular basis) and therefore would make up with bigger lines per hour. I was mistaken and could not make enough per hour because of all the other issues noted above.
Of note, your miles may vary. Obviously some people must work for this company and make enough income to consider this a great company.
Best of luck in a search for a place to find work.
