New ad today for Onc "proofreader". Please see thread on this company from 2/26/2014: forum.mtstars.com/529160.html before sending your personal info. This was a long ad that that was mostly copied from another MTSO's ad.

What's with the dislike? - SM

Thank you Rose for keeping us informed and I don't understand at all the dislike. What's to dislike? Maybe the person who posted the ad? Commiserate this!

You had me laughing thinking it was the person who posted the ad. I think it's just the person who doesn't need a reason to dislike everything. If there is a reason, I'd love to hear it.

I also had my email hacked last night. I have sent my email address with my resume to several places. One was definitely a scamer, using another business person's ID. This particular one (One-on-One) sounds very fish. They contacted me to sign a "Training Agreement" which was basically HIPAA stuff. Never heard from them and it's been almost 2 weeks.

I spoke with them over the phone about a large oncology account they were hiring for and things sounded quite fishy as the person stated she was hiring for a "friend of hers" and could not answer simple questions like "what is your daily/weekly line count requirement, what platform do you use, etc." Two weeks went by, I was sent 3 "practice" files to transcribe for the doctor I would be assigned to. Did not hear back, and after waiting about 4 or 5 days, I E-mailed the lady who sent the "practice" files and asked her when I would get actual work. She said I did poorly on the "test" and would send me 3 more files from an "easier" doctor. In all honesty, if someone did poorly on the first 3 files, why would you send them 3 more files, unless you are looking for someone to type your backlog for free.

They have multiple different addresses in FL, and activity in several other states. The office address I think they currently use is an insurance agent, and in one Google hit they said to mail them C/O (this insurance agent).

I want to warn all who look for jobs on this site of a company to be aware of - Interpro Services, Inc out of Arizona. They are ruthless, have the worst dictators in the industry and management could not care less whether you make any money or not. When you complain, you get "your contract terminated". They set hours for you and days contrary to the laws of IC status and if you don't work those hours, you are outta there. Also they do not have the guts to call you up ...
