Medquist and Transcend pay scale? - LookinForNewEmployer

I'm a current Webmedx employee and looking to work elsewhere, as I can no longer support myself with this company even with a second job. I'm wondering what the pay scales are for Medquist and Transcend. I've contacted many, many MT companies over the last few weeks and they are all slow to (or never) respond with pay inquiries, so I hope those experienced with these companies can help provide answers I'm looking for.

What I'm looking for: Pay scale for manual, VR, incentive (assuming it's offered; if not please advise), and templates (if templates are not paid for, please advise).

the less you get paid because then they start dumping all the bad jobs on you because you "can do them." Transcend is a horrible company that does not value its MLS. Nothing is ever enough for them. Watch, we will probably get a 2 cent pen made in china for MT week, and if we are lucky some stupid trinket to hold a worthless laminated card with the normal lab values for an CBC or something equal to that like we got last year. But at least they knew my name. I do not even get a Christmas card from them and I have worked for them for many years. I used to like this company but recently I have seen a lot of changes that I cannot tolerate anymore. And it all starts at the top, with SM and filters down through her little puppets.

I think Transcend is THE best company in the business. I have worked for others that cheat you, others that have gone bankrupt or some that have nothing but poor ESL docs that you can't make diddly squat in production on. After 5 years trying the rest I found the best! Give recruiting a call at Transcend and see what they are offering!

Transcend is probably the best in the biz. Unfortunately, they still suck in a lot of areas. I am fortunate enough to have a great TL, but my ROM is the absolute worst there is. However, with all the complaints I do see on this board, I have to agree that Transcend is probably the best in the business, but they certainly aren't a super wonderful place to work for. The QA is great, and you don't get docked for QA usage. The pay is horrible, but on par with the rest of the industry. Transcend would be the absolute greatest ever if they offered pay above what the other's pay, if they offered shift differential, and if they would give (gasp!) a raise now and again.

Actually, I think they are the worst experience I have had in this business. Kept hoping it would get better and just kept getting worse.

Lets see if i make 3/6 a line that comes to 250 x 0.03 = 7.50 an hour -- wow minimum wage. 150 x 0.06 = 9.00 an hour -- McDonald's wages. At 4/7 250 x 0.04 = 10.00 an hour - Do you see the different 1 cents makes? 150 x 0.07 = 10.50 an hour even if you did slightly better and could do 300 lines an hour editing you would only get 9.00 an hour. For *pain* scale (1-10), i was taught to add the range if not dictated. Example: D: Pain was a 5. T: Pain was a 5/10. I'm not familiar with *function* scale. This is a spine surgeon. This particular patient is having neck and shoulder issues (if that matters). Is there a specific *function* scale? As best I can calculate, the Indian MTs are started at about $40/week. This is not an error. I looked at both the application from Nuance (which can be found by googling) as well as the exchange rate. So when you see all the "extras" they are offered, try not to be jealous; they can't buy groceries with those extras.
