Anyone out there who has just recently started with KS ? Anyone using a C-phone ? How do you like working there ? Looking for any info - Thanks !

of posts in the archives, or you can just scroll down the page. A C-phone slows you down a bit because you have to get all the demographic information to enter. You also need to be sure you have a VoIP like Vonage or similar, as unlimited LD with AT&T is not really unlimited.

It was not a good fit for me. I've worked for worse companies. Lots of people love them and are extremely loyal. Lots of people have bad experience with them as I did.

I was often asked to work OT, but never paid OT. Others said they are always paid OT. My team lead was worthless, but I think they figured that out and removed her.

I don't know anything about the accounts except for the 3 I worked on. I had one Meditech account that was horrible and Meditech was really bad, but I think they may have upgraded to a different platform that may be better.

unlimited long distance-never an issue with me - just me

I never had an issue with unlimited long distance with AT&T, always $30 per month even when I was working 20+ hours per day on the lines.

This COULD be regional. My aunt says it is no longer available (she lives in California but please check but my mother and her friends have it in the mid west.

I loved working on the C phone and still keep several just in case.

Check with your local AT&T.

I just sent in my test transcription today. How long did it take you before you heard back from them? I hope it isn't too long and hopefully I will get hired, as I desperately need a secondary job. Also, did they provide the Cphone? I used to have one, but got rid of it, figuring, who would ever use those again?????

They provide the C-Phone - at least they did when I worked there...

on that barbaric Meditech platform. Glad to hear they updated it. Probably not too bad now.

Anyone know how to adjust the backspace control for how much it rewinds after you lift the pedal? Right now, it goes back about a sentence at a time. I'd like to be able to adjust it to go back just a word or two. On older versions of the phone, there used to be a dial on the bottom of the phone for this, but the one I'm using now doesn't have this feature. ...

I have been asked to cover an account that uses either a C-phone or DAC transcription station. Can you speed up and slow down the voice on these systems? I used to use a C-phones years ago and I remember that pressing the key 8 mulitple times would slow down the dictation and pressing the key 6 multiple times would speed up the dication. Do the newer DAC or C-phones still have this option? ...

I worked for Nuance for a very short period of time. Long enough to get the MUP email... which I took screenshots of and saved to my computer.
