I just took the test and it was kind of difficult. Anyone know how many blanks you can leave and still be hired? I left a few, but hope I didn't blow it.

I tested for Inscribe last week. I have been an MT for 19 years but have limited experience with non-U.S. accents. I found it VERY difficult. 5 dictations with heavily accented dictation. Of the 5, I was only able to complete one without any blanks. I went over the dictations multiple times, occasionally catching what was said on some of the blanks. I had way more blanks that I would have liked. Even considered not turning the test in but took the chance and didn't pass. You say you had 'a few' blanks so you will probably do better than me. They will send you an e-mail telling you how you did and where your mistakes (besides obvious blanks) were. On the positive side, the one I could understand without any blanks was 100% correct. I have to say though, not passing has nearly devastated my self-confidence. I hope you passed.

J haven't heard anything yet. Thanks for responding. That test was hard. Obviously, others think so too because one of the phrases was asked on here and other sites multiple times. Lol

was also contacted and havent bothered with it because I have no idea what hours they are looking for and what they pay. They dont seem to mention that.

shifts no one else wants to work. If they give you a job offer, you have to sit through an hour-long presentation where you learn you have to stay on IM, check for work and be a team player when there's none. There are contests and sounds like massive amounts of email and other non-work-related crap going on. IC position - illegally so - Some weirded out QA ramp up and knock down according to your QA scores.

For 7 cpl it was WAY WAY too much childishness for me.

as though they have a very complicated application process. Just reading the instructions had me cross-eyed. Also, in addition to the written test, application, they also WANT 6 VOICE FILES TRANSCRIBED for their testing?? It is truly laughable that MQ expects US MTs to jump through hoops, passing their tests, audits, trying to decipher absolute garbage and paying us like we were 6 month trainees, etc., and then have the audacity to send work to India. I hope MQ gets its due for all the grief they have caused and their role in the demise of this industry! If Verizon were to put them out of business, that would definitely be what they deserve. ...

How are you supposed to know whether to put the headings and text on the same line or put the text on the line under the heading, put a colon after heading or not put a colon? They said they go by BOS, but all I see pertaining to that in the BOS is the sample reports where they put the text under the heading with no colons after the heading. I guess I'll just do it that way. ...

Hello MTs! I recently submitted application and tests document to InScribe US and was informed that although I did "well" on the test, I was slightly below their standards. They have invited me to participate in their internship program, take 4 of their learning modules, and work with someone one-on-one to bring me up to their standards. This is to cost $400. I was just wondering if anyone out there works for Inscribe or has taken their test for employment. I took the test and it was incredibly hard with ESL dictators. Just spoke with them and they hire IC and say you can pretty much work whenever you want as long as you make minimum counts. Pay is only .07 for typing or VR but they use own VR system that sounds interesting, you repeat what was dictated. Any info on them would be helpful. Thanks ...
