DSG Sound Issues - MT

Someone here mentioned the sound quality at DSG. Has anyone ever addressed it there? Seems that in this day and age, sound should be perfect. I have mentioned it here and there to them, but nobody has ever gotten back to me on it. Some of dictations sound like there's a piece of sheet metal being slammed with a hammer. Not good. And with ASR, it's really a mess. Oh well, probably getting out of this business anyway.

Yes, I am complained repeatedly about this to management. With the ESL dictators, it makes it nearly impossible to get a decent line count.

Well, I found out a long time ago that saying anything does no good, so I don't waste my energy anymore. Just gets my blood pressure up. Am looking into other employment opportunities. MT work is a done deal.

I figured I gave it long enough to give me a good representation of the work they had available and none of it was good. Heavy ESL,verbatim account that you can't hear....No thanks. I did bring it up with her and she suggested new ear phones. I tried 3 different headsets and all were the same mush. Her next suggestion was to listen to the dictation a second and even third time and sometimes you can pick up words. Yea right. I had always wondered why people stay there and put up with that issue. You can't make any money that way. I figure when they lose enough employees because of the audio quality they will figure out how to fix it.

pretty good. However,since they do subcontracting for MQ, I heard the voice is re-recorded and so that distorts the voice as I used to do the MQ accounts and they lost them but see they probably have them back. I am lucky though now.

I actually asked about this to 3 separate people in management via email and instant messaging and not one person answered me.

I just don't understand with the technology today, why it has to be so bad. DQS (which they use) was supposed to solve phone line sound quality issues. Perhaps it's only as good as the equipment the accounts are using, in which case, something should be done about it. If I owned a company, I wouldn't accept an account that had those types of issues.

Not long at all-about a week. Once I realized there was literally no way to make even minimum wage.

Unfortunately this is DSG and all I can say is good luck with it. I worked there for a while and the only person I could get to answer or even attempt to answer my questions is gone.

I'm trying to troubleshoot something. Does anyone else have sound-quality issues on DSG dictations? Just curious if I should seriously have this looked at on my end. It's not all reports, but enough so that I need to look into it one way or the other. If I'm the only one, I'll hire someone to look into this.
