Yes, I did have a question but it must have been deleted. I wanted to know if anybody knew anything about this company. How they treat their medical transcriptionists, how much they pay, etc.

deleting the gutz of a post is not one of them. They would totally removed it if necessary and email you as to what happened.

Got fired from there a few months ago - on my way out of MT

They hired me with no work on my specialty (rad - they lied and said there was plenty there was NONE), they agreed to train me on acute care, they were unhappy that I did not learn acute care (straight typing! not VR!) on-the-job in less than 3 months (pulling it at random from a cesspool of specialties/facilities/ESL docs), they were rude and snotty in their QA. They contradicted themselves constantly (always leave blanks if you don't know/you're leaving TOO MANY BLANKS!),and they fired me right before my 90 days were up. Their insurance is ridiculous too - $600 a month - based on your age (and that's for ONE person folks, not a family)! I've never seen such duplicity and I have no idea why they hired me to begin with. But that seems to be the fad lately, because I went to Keystrokes next and they also hired me with no work at all for me to do. I guess these companies think we love to work for free and a genie pays our bills while we do it.

Does anybody out there work for Chase Transcriptions? I understand they use ChartNet (hooray!) and do only straight typing, no VR. All good things. However, they only pay a little over 7 cents a line, not so good. I am having a very hard time, not production wise but platform-wise and personnel wise at Transcend, and am looking to make a move but frankly, I can't afford to take any less than I'm getting now. Does anyone know anything about Transcriptions Express? In researching them I found 3 complaints on the Rip Off Report about them. They, evidently, charge for early termination, is this standard? They also charge for equipment if you don't have any. I think this is just a way for some companies to increase their bottom line. It sounds like these were just disgruntled ex-employees.
