Anyone out there being paid on VBC lines. - How do you like it?

There is a company who is advertising openings. I went to their website and they are offering the clients VBC at 15 cpl and comparing it to other companies who pay 65 cpl with spaces at 12 cpl. I am wondering what they are paying their employees. I won't name the company, because I may apply to them. They seem like a true IC company where you can set your own hours and such, and those companies are hard to find nowadays.

I'm confused...who pays the 15 cpl...the cliient (hospital/office?) - or the MTSO to the MT?

If that's what they're actually paying their MTs, it's pretty good. If that's what they're charging their clients, what they pay their MTs would be considerably less. I believe there's about a 20% difference between w/wo spaces, so add that to what you want to make per line to determine if it's good for you or not.

The company I work for as an IC went to this pay a couple of months ago on certain accounts. To get our line counts, we take the character count and divide by 56. This is such a bunch of crap. We weren't even notified about this change. It just happened.

Our pay did not go up, I'm not paid any higher, I don't even make half of that 15 cpl.

I did a little research and it seems that I am losing about 35-40 lines PER REPORT with VBC pay. Sad, sad, sad.

I ended up having to get a 2nd job.

From my experience, it doesn't matter how productive you are because VBC pay will keep you at the bottom of the barrel if they don't adjust your CPL.

I'm sure this company you are looking into will not pay you anywhere near that 15 cpl or like me not even half of that 15.

Can't get much over 200 lines per hour whereby I used to do over 350. Crap way to get paid, in my estimation. The people are great and the schedule nice, but the pay sux.

How many lines do you average per day - VR and traditional? I know it's been VERY slow lately, but when things are going well, how many lines do you normally get? I've been working with my company for almost a year now and i'm wondering if I should start looking around at other compaines. . . . we have to retype the entire VR job because it is 99% WRONG. It seems like it is getting worse instead of better.
