Any current information on ST? I kow you have to go to N.J. but other than that, what's the scoop? Thanks!!

I had applied there last year and other than the going to NJ for training, the other not so good thing I found out was they pay by the minute of dictation, not by line, and apparently this in not in the MT's favor.

Please enlighten me as to the downfalls of being paid by the minute as I have already tested for them! Thanks.

When you have a company that pays by the minute, most often the dictators are in on it, as they are paying by the minute as well. You will most of the time have the doctors speaking so fast that you would type twice as much in a minute than you would on a normally speaking dictator. It's just really not a fair pay scale at all, too many variables there, no accurate pay system.

I have been with Silent Type for a year now. I enjoy the fact we work M-F schedule and no weekends. I also enjoy the fact that we have good QA. I also enjoy the fact we get vacation and bonuses. I also enjoy the fact we are offered health insurance and 401-K. Girls don't forget these perks when you are complaining about the work being light.
