Have any of you filed for unemployment benefits yet? I am only getting enough work for about 15 hours a week, if that. Just curious if anyone has filed for UEB and, if so, did Silent dispute the claim.

I did file months ago when the work dwindled down to next to nothing. ST did not dispute it, but seemed surprised that I was able to file, but it was only for partial unemployment..you have to work under 30 hours a week to qualify...Have since found a job where there is WORK!! Good luck!

Even if they disputed the claim, they don't have a leg to stand on, so I certainly would not let that stop you. It's called partial UE and you're entitled to it. You've paid into it. Why would you not use every resource available to you to survive?

I can't believe it, not one job today, and no communication whatsoever from ST about what we are suppose to do about our 8 hours they expect us to be there as "EMPLOYEES". I thought how it worked was employees got paid if they show up for their 8 and the company doesn't tell them not to show up or to file for UEB.

I have been with Silent Type for a year now. I enjoy the fact we work M-F schedule and no weekends. I also enjoy the fact that we have good QA. I also enjoy the fact we get vacation and bonuses. I also enjoy the fact we are offered health insurance and 401-K. Girls don't forget these perks when you are complaining about the work being light. Is anyone getting work?? I am told there is plenty of work, but keep getting "no jobs available". If you are getting work, when do you get it?? I have flexed every way I know and still get no work. I was hired and told there was plenty of work. I could get all the pages I wanted. I am seeing a patten of only 1-2 days a week where I get work and the other days it just trinkles in.
