BEWARE. We talked about her last time, how everyone tested and never heard back from her . . . there was a term they used for it when they get their work done by sending it out to people that thinkithey are testing for a job but they were being used to get her work caught up!!!!

that she was trying to get the IC contracts prepared and that she would be back in touch, that it would be a couple of weeks before I could start. I met with the TL for the account that I was to work on, she sent me samples, all account information, I had the software downloaded, etc., went on vacation for a week, sent Amy several emails once I returned and still nothing. This was at the end of last year. I finally gave up.

I worked for PMSI, probably on the same account they need the temporary help for now. I made great money on that account! I left because I wanted to be an employee instead of IC.

I don't believe for a second that Amy would catch up her backlog by pretending she has a job opening and sending the work out as test jobs. For one, she has a great team at her disposal and they would chip in to help with any backlog. Also, she is a very honest person and very professional.

PMSI is a great company! I really liked working there. Don't pass them up because of a silly rumor.

I agree with Truffle. I worked for PMSI a couple of years ago because I needed to supplement our income when DH got laid off. I loved the work, the people were fantastic to deal with, Amy and Suz were awesome! I also wanted employee status and they didn't offer it, and it was a hard decision to leave. When one of my friends was looking for extra work, I suggested PMSI and she's been with them now for going on 2 years now.

And this crap about Amy getting her work caught up by having people do it as a test...I'm sorry, but if you're stupid enough to believe that, then you're too stupid to be an MT.

Dangerous abbreviations that are in BOS are not to be observed unless the specific CP says to? I have NEVER operated like this, EVER. I am in coding school (home-based program) and as I read through the coding book, I try to understand all of the rules, etc., about what gets coded first and dual codes, when to use a particular code as a primary diagnosis, etc. However, I find that I remember little of those rules the next day or even later in the day. You actually looked forward to getting the PA instead of the doctor because they were so much easier to hear, understand, etc., except for the fact that most of them have no clue when it comes to pronouncing medications and feel that it is above them to spell the medication out. Hey all you loyal MQ people who have been here for years (why we do it, I don't know) Remember when....they used to tell MTs DO NOT ENTER S/L in the QA NOTE, because it made QA "think" they would hear that word....well guess what...and this is for the suits and the managers who are looking, and we know you are .....ASR is nothing but a full report of sounds likes. Fresh out of a local vocational school for MT back in 1993, I met with an established local MT, who allowed me to do a little of her work (with pay) to see how I would do because she wanted someone to take over on Fridays so she could have that day off. How in no more than 90 days, VR would be completely trained to put out perfect drafts? What the happened to that? I am going to throw that up to my TL, just for grins, every time they rake us over for critical errors, customer complaints and so on.
