I found an amazing job with a company who legit gives a flying "you know what" about transcription. Never thought in a million years I would find this job but here I am. I will say that the company I work for is 1 in a million and is quite frankly an anomaly. Anyone still looking for work with companies who pay CPL should look elsewhere. Companies who pay you like an IC but treat you like an indentured servant are never going to change. Get. Out. And Stay FARRR away if you are a newbie. They will talk the talk and make you believe how great it will be to "call the shots" and "make your own schedule" only to tell you when you need to jump and how high.
As someone who believed that being an IC and being paid PENNIES by the line and the only way to make any money was to work myself to the literal bone was a way of life--the grass is greener on the other side, regardless if you find work in this field that values you and your worth or you go outside of this field. There is a place for you. Don't continue to devalue yourself to supply these horrible companies with your talent, time, and energy!
