example above, at even $1 a page is still only worth $76. That's very little pay for legal transcription. You're going to spend more time on a legal document than a medical document (unless it's a really nasty ESL, but you'd probably just put a blank and move on as quickly as possible with a nasty ESL). With legal, you're typing a recording that is set up in the room, not a recording that someone called in on a phone line and spoke directly into, so the sound quality is definitely not the same, and multiple speakers takes more time.
