Yep, I quit medical transcription because choices are so bad. Nothing but IC. FYI, people in the USA are eligible for something called the WIOA program, which is for "displaced workers". This is a Federal program, not state. Because there are no jobs in medical transcription I qualified. They will pay up to $6000 (or $10000) towards education in a different field. That is what I am doing now -- going back to school.
