recent experience - trying to make a living Posted: May 30th, 2020 - 7:30 pm In Reply to: The working world has - changed so much
My recent experience has been either low-paying IC jobs, crappy employers (Nuance & subcontractors) or people new to the MT world and don't have a clue what they are doing. They think you hire an MT like you do a legal transcriptionist and every MT knows it all. They have NO clue about the experience needed in various specialties, MT rules & how they exist to prevent patient errors, etc. I simply won't work for the abusers in this business. I work hard and do a good job. And I will never work for someone who doesn't understand the MT business again. I stupidly hung out for 1-1/2 years and in the end was lucky I had somewhere to live when he suddenly lost all his clients because of hiring people with little to no experience & not a soul in the office who could even check their work because they knew nothing about the medical field.
