If the company (and I also wish you would name them) did this by accident or on purpose, it is wage theft and there are state and federal laws (not guidelines, laws) against it. If it is their policy, they should have given you this in writing from the start, otherwise you have to think they were hoping you would not notice. Contact your state labor board to ask how to proceed. Talk to your employer with the information you gather. This is your income that you earned. Fight for it. If they are doing it to you, they are doing it to a lot of others (look how profitable it is).
