Some companies used to pay more if you were a CMT - CMT-R

R just means retired. I also took a course, passed the exam,and was reimbursed by my company (which hasn't existed in years) and given a 0.5 line increase. It used to raise your pay too. I'm just riding this transcription thing out until I can retire later this year.
