Unusual because Emdat has always been touted to facilities as "saving you money" in the sense that qualified text (QT) is billed differently. In my experience, some places paid 1-2 cpl for QT (bad enough), and others paid nothing at all.
With everything subcontracted nowadays, most MTSOs can't really pay more for QT when they themselves aren't being paid the same as regular text, so Nuance (and now DeliverHealth) is basically giving us all a pay cut AGAIN by demanding all their clients switch to this platform. Ugh.
I'm really curious about the in-house people who work for the facilities who are in the process of switching over. I think we are going to see a mass exodus of them either retiring or making a lateral move to another position at their workplace. We, sadly, put up with it because we are used to it and say "just a little longer" before we retire, but for in-house employees they must be saying (rightly) "this is insane."
