Acute care - Too many variables

A good deal of hospital admits and surgical procedures are elective, so that could explain the downturn in dictation, whatever can wait has been put on hold. In the ER, docs can use Epic or the EHR to do their own documentation, there probably just isn’t time to worry about doing dictation now. Also, a lot of hospitals use scribes. Another question would be how much work your employer contracts with offshore vendors. There are so many variables; really, your employer would be the one to answer those questions.
