Wonder why some get severance pay and some don't? I got fired for "performance" issues so no severance just PTO.
Just a side note. I did find a fantastic job and I'm 62. It pays well, has great benefits and the company truly appreciates its employees, just doesn't say that it does but shows it. Got called into a meeting yesterday with the other new hire with the team leads and supervisors. My first thought was "oh no what did I do wrong" but it turns out they are very proactive here, want to know their employees, how they can help them be productive, etc.
Daily the supervisors bring around snacks for us. Today we got offered chips, Rice Krispie treats, fruit snacks, and crackers.
There is life after being laid off or fired from this horrid place.
