This is a lousy situation - right now Posted: Mar 12th, 2020 - 3:16 pm In Reply to: I was laid off yesterday. - sleepymt
but you'll get through this.
Ever since AQ came into existence, I knew my MT job was over. I left several months ago because things became so ridiculously intolerable every day with the work situation. Even while going through the process of giving my notice and finally being out of there, I didn't exactly feel like celebrating my freedom. I really wanted to continue as an MT until retirement, but not at the expense of my health due to all the stress and misery of that job.
Believe it or not, there are positives that come out of lousy situations. You're going to find out that you're resilient and that you can re-invent yourself a lot easier than you think.
I don't know if you've ever checked out the website: Free Work At Home Guide at
https://www.freeworkathomeguide.com
It's interesting to just look around there and read about all the different kinds of jobs that exist for working at home. There's a lot of info there - I'm still going it through it myself...
I don't know if I ever thanked you for the many times you came to the forum to post your experience with all those crazy Fluency upgrades! I always waited until you did it first! ha,ha! All the best to you!!
