I am not sure if you are an employee or work as an indepedent contractor, but when we work as an IC, we are paid for our services when the MTSO gets paid. Hopefully the MTSO is contracted with a healthcare provider who pays in a timely fashion, but sometimes they have contracts which we work on that unfortunatley do not pay on time, which means our pay as an IC is not always predictable. Asking the MTSO if the healthcare provider for your account pays on time is something worth asking the MTSO (if working as an IC) when covering the editing/transcription for a new provider. I know that when working as an employee, though, that is not a question that would get answered.
