I use VPN with the clinic I transcribe for - takes just a couple of minutes to log in and then after that you don't even realize it's there as it doesn't slow you down at all. I've had similar experiences with it at other employers and hospitals. When I was with Nuance it was horrendous - took forever to log in, extremely slow, and heaven forbid you have a report with CC's requested as it would take forever to populate that menu.
