about grammar? I'm willing to bet just the opposite--that the majority of MTs do have a very good working knowledge of English grammar and punctuation. I know, having attended parochial school, we were drilled on grammar rules and diagraming sentences was a big deal. we knew our parts of speech. Does anyone remember that? Spelling and vocabulary was also emphasized. Even now every month, I do the Word Power section of Reader's Digest and usually get the top score. I also know how to use grammar reference books for when I have any questions. That was quite an insulting thing to say about your fellow MTs.
