almost all the MTSOs, especially those doing Nuance work, overhire to ensure very fast turnaround times. This will never change with these companies because they're "fined" for not meeting TATs, as well as quality standards.
Like the poster said above, you won't find the smaller MTSOs advertising in this pit of MTStars. They'll be bombarded with resumes.
Even the smaller MTSOs I've been able to find try to set schedules for ICs and other various nefarious tactics that are not quite legal.
You'll never be guaranteed work anywhere now. You will always have work shortages and your work and pay will very rarely be a constant to depend upon.
You have to learn to live, if this is a vital income to your family, in a means that enables you to to make up for work shortages, vacation and holidays when you won't be paid, sick days for you and your kids when you won't be paid, computer and internet outages, account losses (a very frequent thing now), and be aware that if other MTs lose their accounts, more than likely they'll now be pulling from your accounts - so it's NEVER dependable.
This has been the case for me for 20 years. It's never been stable.
