Production code? - sleepymt Posted: Nov 19th, 2019 - 11:21 pm In Reply to: Production - Codes
I'm not aware of any production codes. I just call Support at the usual number and they ask for my employer number and what the problem is. That's it. In the past, I've asked them if I should clock out and they always tell me not too. If it's a long time, I'll put a note in saying what was going on during that time or shoot a message to the manager.
To be honest, I've learned pretty much what they will do for a lot of hiccups (pedal not working, etc) so instead of calling them, I do it myself. I don't clock out. Shutting off the computer and rebooting or simply taking plugs out and putting them back in will often do the trick. Running diagnostics on the pedal or mouse (Go to Devices and Printers, click on the mouse or pedal, click troubleshoot), clearing temporary files is also helpful. Keeping Adobe and Java updated helps. Cleaning caches from browsers helps too. For me, doing little things like this takes less time than calling Support. However, for Fluency issues and Ivanti issues, I always call.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
