Company Board

Med-Scribe warning - Passing It On

Posted: Oct 15th, 2019 - 6:27 pm

You should know that this company is "not hiring in my state", which is a state that has labor laws and a higher minimum wage.  This is the second company I've run across like this.  The first had a list of states on their website that they do not hire, all with labor laws protecting workers and/or higher minimum wages.

I would be very careful about getting hired by a company like this because it says to me they are not hiring in states that have labor laws such as required paid breaks and higher minimum wages.  My guess is they are sweatshops that want to overstaff and force employees to spend 12 hours getting 4 hours of work a day.  Just an FYI.  You want to contribute to the bad workplace environments most of us have seen, that is up to you!  But I would go in with my eyes open.
