Had a similar rule years ago at a different site. Try this: Call up Find/Replace. In the Find field enter period, space, space (. ). In the Replace field enter period, space. (. ). Hit Replace All. It should find every instance of 2 spaces after a period and replace them with 1. Hope it works for you. Sorry about you getting tossed in the fire.
