It seems that Nuance is continuing to roll out mandatory VDI for any MTSO or company using any of their software platforms. If this is really happening, will it also be happening on AU, Canadian, and other non-US companies that utilize Nuance platforms but don't (currently) require VDI? Why is a software platform so necessary? There must be companies on the planet who use FTP sites or some type of benign cloud-based liaison for the medical record? It would mean increased revenue for the companies and the ICs if the platforms were not in the picture. I'm considering an AU contract but just so concerned about the inevitable VDI process. Whatever happened to less is more?
