Isolation definitely plays a role. When I first started doing medical transcription at home I worked for a company that would send group emails to everyone working on specific accounts, and the others in the group were listed in the CCs. I actually found out that someone I had worked with in office was also working for that same company that way, which was nice to know. I have no idea who else works for Keystrokes, and AFAIK no real way to contact any other MTs. It would help if we knew each other!
