We are ripped off. No taxes taken out, you have to pay them and you better set up a payment plan monthly. It means no PTO, no incentive, no differential, no raises. You can supposedly and I use the term loosely, can work your own hours, but you better be prepared to work when no one else wants to. Evenings and weekends. It pays anywhere from 3 cpl to 4 cpl for voice, hardly any straight typing at all and that pays 6.5 to 7 cpl. Do the math and you will figure out you are working for next to nothing. Also you better work for 2-3 companies, one just for taxes and oh yeah, if you go to a company who is hooked up with Nuance (which most of them are), be ready for VDI which is a nightmare you will never wake up from. NOW THAT IS WHAT AN IC POSITION IS.
