We need transcribers to fill immediate positions. Many of our medical transcribers/editors have been with us since we opened our doors some 23 years ago.
Job Description:
- We need VR editors with associate qualifications (minimum), with at least 10 years of medical transcription experience and some years of VR editing experience.
- You need to have a thorough knowledge of medical terminology and good language skills.
- Our work types are ambulatory, multi-disciplinary clinic reports.
- Initially, you will be trained by one of our QA editors, who will mentor you one-on-one, making this a personable individual learning experience. After your training period, you will work independently.
- We’re looking for transcribers who want to work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week.
- This is a US nationwide position only. Please don’t apply if you live outside the US.
Responsibilities:
- You will be connecting securely online to intelliscript VR servers to edit draft medical reports for medical and grammatical accuracy.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality is paramount.
- Working as an Independent Contractor makes you responsible for your equipment and internet connections.
- Equipment/Internet Requirements are as follows: Your PC/laptop hardware must have a minimum of Intel i5 or i7 processor or greater, 4 GB RAM, 1 GB free space. Software: Windows 7 32 or 64-bit SP1 through Windows 10 64 bit; MS Word 2010 minimum, 32 bit. Antivirus software. Infinity IN-USB-1/2 foot pedal; DSL/CABLE, NO WIRELESS internet connections. Apple computers are not supported.
Compensation:
Since you are working as an Independent Contractor, this job is production based. You are paid by character, with different pay rates for edited and transcribed reports. Reports are predominantly edited and your edited pay rate translated to a 55-character line is 4.18 cents per line, and 7.8 cents on the occasional transcribed report. Your monthly production counts are taken directly off the servers, and the breakdown details are emailed to you. You will be paid promptly on the last day of each calendar month. If the last day falls on a weekend, then you will be paid on the Friday prior.
