We failed to see the important question by getting caught up in technical English words, which in the beginning had no importance of MT-ing when it first started out anyway. Medical terminology was kept just to the doctors and the professionals. Nobody knew what PRN even stood for, nor b.i.d., let alone worry about if it should have periods or all caps. That was kept as a secret code from the doc to the pharmacist. Now we have dictated perfection with poverty wages.

The original question was about Mmodal and another merger, or whatever. Amita Health here has taken over what was once Alexian Brothers, which was founded by a Christian philosophy and to help those who could not help themselves. They were not for profit and turned nobody away. Key word--WERE. The Brothers' goal was to be an equal, if not better, than The Mayo Clinic, yet with a care base built on Christianity with a central focus on both physical and spiritual meditation for healing. Because of the shortage of brothers and the ever-changing business ventures hospitals have become, we now have CEOs along with profiteering. Ascension came into the mix and brought in M-modal along with VR. Amita now has taken over and has become more aggressive in their name and advertising. Now the only MTs left on site are in Pathology, but starting the new year, ALL those jobs that have no direct patient contact will not be employed by the hospital and will be under a different company called "RI." Whatever that means. So, this is a new-found venture for big business and its effects on healthcare. Looks like MTs were the first to go, now the 'domino effect.' So, QA or no QA--we all fall down. Time will tell what happens to M-modal. They have big lawyers though that have saved them in the past, unless they had Michael Cohen!
