Just trying to be helpful, in no way intending to be insulting. That post is much simpler than your post on synonyms and you might find it helpful. We all get turned around on words sometimes, we should be here helping each other, not tearing each other down. Not sure what you meant by synonyms, but the post I mentioned above might clarify where you got turned around on the two different verb-type usages of the word.
