Spectrum - Not throttling

Posted: Aug 25th, 2018 - 1:25 pm In Reply to: I wonder if you have Spectrum? - anon

The tech is not lying, Spectrum does not throttle speed. I always get 100 MPBS and run a desktop computer, mobile devices and stream TV. There could be something on the outside of your home, corrupted cable connectors or a hardware issue. There could be too many users on your hub, maybe your modem and router are not provisioned correctly. There could be spyware on you computer, or maybe you need more RAM, there could be a server issue on your employer's end. Before blaming Spectrum for throttling your speed, I would check some other things as well. I've been a Charter subscriber since the 80s and rarely have internet issues, I always get the advertised speed. Their TV and phone service sucks, but that's another story.
