The reason for pledging how many lines you want to do in a day is so your team leader can allocate work to you. The roster shows a predicted number of lines available each day for the clients you type, and that works on a first come, first serve basis. That said, I have very very rarely not had lines available to pledge for. The lines available can change and this prediction is based on what the client has done in the past & is usually pretty accurate.
