if I still need to be getting up and checking for work at 6 a.m. I told her I felt we would probably be let go very soon. She replied that I could change my schedule to try to get more work, but did not comment on my remark about being laid off. In the past she always assured me that I would NOT be laid off, so I took that as an omen.
