Remember, Medicare part B only pays 80% of doctor bills and some other medical bills. Medicare part A pays just about everything related to a hospitalization. Two years ago, at age 65, I quit Nuance, dropped their insurance the day Medicare started. Since Medicare only pays 80% of part B (medical/doctors doctors, I got a supplemental plan. About a month later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Between Medicare A and B and my supplemental plan and part D drug plan, I only had to pay for prescription drugs, which luckily did not cost much. Research the supplemental plans, some might not cost as much depending on what you need.
