I am still working part time at home. I am retired actually, but need more money! I started at a hospital in 1978 and being an MT has served me and my family very well over the years until voice recognition and outsourcing. I had excellent health benefits and loved working in house-made many great friends and we had fun! Especially when the doctors came in daily and said hi. I was wondering, how can hospitals be saving money? MTs are on the bottom rung now with making 3.5 cents a line (VR), they have all the supervisors to pay, the QA people and on and on. Plus, keeping the work in house there HAS to be less errors-we had people sitting next to us to have listen, or even call the doctor. Anyone have an answer???
