The point is to let them know you are not going to sit passively, quietly by while they continue to cut pay and jobs, waving a kerchief goodbye. Start with a collective request for dialogue/meeting about pay and conditions. We'll be wildly surprised and happy if they cooperate perfectly, but step 2 and 3 are lined right up, waiting in the wings... Would be kind of stupid to at least not show strength in numbers by asking collectively, just in case that's all it took...
